MOCA Tucson - Unpacking your history

Workshop: Unpack Your Story through Visual Art and Storytelling

MOCA Tucson invites members of our 55+ community to explore personal histories through visual art and storytelling. Following the example of contemporary artist Mohamad Hafez, suitcases are used to create and share meaningful narratives. Participants choose a suitcase provided by facilitators to create scenes from their lives. Activities also include interviews and creative writing. Workshop culminates in a showcase where participants narrate their stories, with suitcase as center piece. We are also collaborating with local radio station, KXCi, to share participant stories. Facilitators: Dante Celeiro, Kendall Crabbe and Eli Burke.
